Elderly and Youth Raging Together
In a world that is surrounded by potential and opportunities, where youth become elderly and do nothing with their life other than just take up space and oxygen. A world where the tales and lessons of life are not continued throughout time and are lost in its dark corners. However because of human nature and its one law that says there are no laws we persist to “not go quietly into the night”, but the only way to accomplish this is by coincidence with youth and elderly. Both youth and elderly benefit from rage, raging against the dying light through living to their full potential and making time usage better.
Potential is bound in laws that define our universe but in terms such as teaching life lessons and how one can impact a life. For example, life lessons are learned throughout multiple generations but are teachings that every human has to figure out on their own. Like that of people cannot always be counted on as a primary lesson that escapes every human and has to be taught to the next. Lessons like those are better learned through older generations and are best passed down to younger ones whose life is only underway. Along with this, some must be learned by younger generations, but as they learn older generations have the potential to catch those falling and pick them up to evaluate the results. In a similar way, making an impact on a person’s life has a certain amount on potential. For example, a young woman goes through a divorce and her world as she knows it has changed immensely, and she has nowhere to go. Hearing about this tragedy her mother gives her a visit and shares her experiences of similar tragedies with her daughter. Although not only raising her since she was born the mother had taught her life lessons that have stayed with the child since she could remember, impacting her thoughts and decisions as she has been taught. In addition the mother in return had raised up one of the best christian singers in her time, impacting multiple others that choose to follow Jesus. With this the mother had used her potential to change her daughter’s’ life to that of a strong Christian woman along with a good heart and a smile on God’s face as he knows that her daughter will do a many great things. Both instances of potential have a chance to impact the relationships between youth and elderly, it’s just a matter of using it.
Time in itself is a vast concept that the human mind can not understand. However it is a measurement of life and time is a key factor of “Rage, Rage against the dying light”. For example people in nowadays spend four years looking at their phones or other devices, but what could be accomplished with this extra time? In most cases from a Christian standpoint any minute used is a gift from God, but in the situation of the youth and elderly we can unite to teach life lessons before we go gentle into the dying light. Like that of life lessons and advice, only time will tell when it is needed, but timing is everything and if not used wisely then we fall into the “wise men” category as said in the poem. Although as humans we think we have perfect timing but in all actuality we do not, as we learn we become better and we do not stay silent for long against the raging of the dying light.
Both parties of elderly and youth better coincide together when life experiences are shared. Through the use of their potential and timing skills elderly and youth can conquer the impossible of rage, rage against the dying light and in doing so create a better benefit.
